Callie reached out to me in early 2021 for a Lifestyle newborn session, she had been doing research and wanted a more relaxed approach for her newborn’s session. Lifestyle photography is just that, you don’t even need to leave your home. I’ll travel to you and let you and your new family snuggle up in your favorite places. For home sessions, it’s best to have some neutral decor, and natural light entering the home. Lighter colors for shirts and jeans or khakis are the best clothing options as you want to be comfortable but feel free to throw on dainty jewelry or your favorite necklace.

Newborn sessions can take place at any age from one week to 1 1/2 months old. The sooner the better for those sleepy snuggles. Here are some of my favorites from this session with Callie, Dan, and Luke!

Are you thinking of doing a Lifestyle newborn session? Heres a few tips!

1- Warm and pastel colors often work best for clothing! Try to coordinate but not match.

2-Your pets are always welcome in the shots, I love when they join in the photos! This is a family session and I love animals.

3-Having more than one room to photograph in adds a lot of variety to your final gallery. Think about using extra spaces instead of just the nursery for your session.
