I'm Katie— I specialize in wedding + portrait photography. I'm dedicated to creating an comfortable and carefree experience while creating photographic art for each couple I work with.
When I am not out and about chasing sunsets with my couples, you can find me with my kids in Target, watching TikTok, drinking a gingerbread iced chai latte with cold foam, listening to Crime Junkies, or binge watching the latest Netflix Original series. However, what really sets my heart on fire is meeting new couples, hearing your wedding day visions, and watching it all come to life!

My journey into photography began at my mother's wedding. I still remember my step-father passing me his old film camera, saying, "Go ahead, have some fun with it." That singular experience ignited an irrepressible passion within me, ensuring that a camera became an indispensable extension of myself.
Growing up, I was not the most confident person, but behind the camera, I found my groove. I learned how to play with angles and make my friends feel at ease in front of the lens. When I had my daughter seven years ago, I decided it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to start my dream business.
I second shot my first wedding and the rest was truly history. The fast-paced environment of weddings mixed with the tear-jerking moments is something I will never get tired of.
I'm your all-in confidante, open book, and go-to girl for every step of the journey.

Favorite activities: Post dinner walks with the family, laying by the beach, watching sunsets, getting new tattoos, dreaming about puppies, planning girls nights and charcuterie adventures, traveling to new states, visiting national parks, visualizing interior design projects for my husband to DIY, Attempting to live an organized & decluttered lifestyle.
What inspires me
Expressing myself through creativity is always something I did subconsciously. I never picked up on it until I started taking coding courses at AACC. There, I realized what really excited me was hands-on projects. I loved creating and designing. That turned into making mood boards, designing my instagram feed, creating my website. Leading to what I love the most--- creating stills that give a visual and emotional narrative to your wedding day.

I believe every wedding gallery should be a mix of candid moments and posed or prompted scenarios.
Wedding days are known to be chaotic, and I am beyond prepared to handle that chaos with my team and your planner.
However, the wedding services to you start long before the actual day of the ceremony. I prepare in any way I can before your day in order to be ready for whatever the day throws us. I read blogs from your venue, scout locations, find inspiration, and learn about you two as a couple and the connection you share. This ensures I know the key moments to watch for, and when I see your new sister in law or mother in law tearing up, I do as well.
I strive to capture those big moments during the ceremony and reception that go by way too fast. In addition to all the planned moments, I also have my eyes out for candid moments that show the emotion and joy of your day. As a photographer, two of my main accomplishments are being flexible and creative. I adjust my approach every wedding day to the light, weather conditions, and unexpected situations that arise.
