Coronavirus postponing spring weddings is already happening, I have most of my April brides rescheduled to fall months at this point and with no end in sight, I am also urging my May brides to also think about a plan B. For most brides they have been thinking about their wedding day since they were a little girl. Currently, the CDC has recommended no gatherings over 50 people, most of my spring brides are going to have to face the reality that their wedding is better off on hold especially if it’s in the next eight weeks.

Some venues in Maryland are already announcing their shutdown like the Liriodendron mansion. Haven Street Ballroom has announced on Instagram they are giving their spring brides options like smaller ceremonies with live stream and larger receptions later. Please contact your venues immediately so you can get a headstart on the dates still available.

If you are someone who is getting married this spring please reach out to your wedding vendors and ask them about their postponing and rescheduling policies. The whole wedding industry is doing everything we can in order to stay afloat during this difficult time and we are happy to give you vendor recommendations if we can’t accommodate your new wedding date.
